Trump has radically changed since winning office in 2024. What is now disturbing to see:

The "no new wars" doctrine being discarded with no acknowledgement.

The admin no longer states "for the will of the American people". The will of the American people was in part to not have voluntary wars. Stephen Miller was real big on stating that deportations were the will of the American people (they were.) Where is Stephen Miller these days?

Melania Trump's press conference disclaiming association with Epstein, and also calling for full transparency. She is DIRECTLY contradicting Donnie who labeled Epstein a Democratic hoax. She is asserting that it's a real problem. This has direct vibes of Melinda Gates leaving Bill Gates over Epstein.

The Butler, PA assassination attempt was not investigated, was totally covered up, the body was burned and the crime scene was sanitized immediately (hosing down blood stains, etc) Also while Trump will roll in the mud on any other issue, he has not rebutted one thing publicly about the shooting. I have seen some analysts guessing that the Butler attempt was part of controlling Trump for the moment in time we went to war in Iran. Not proven but fishy as fuck that the Butler narrative is as buttoned down as the JFK assassination. Trump has cooperated with that coverup.

The Truth Social post he made sounds like someone on speed: https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116376634773749603

I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon — Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs. They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! Look at their past, look at their record. They don’t have what it takes, and they never did! They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them, they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some “free” and cheap publicity.

Uhm... yeah. Some channel like Timcast regularly gets many more visitors than the big three networks get in viewers. TV is a Boomer thing and you're a behind the times boomer if you believe that TV success is the measure of success.

And one little thing: Trump didn't place his hand on the Bible at the inauguration. Even Obama did so. The bible was right there, he kept his hand away. This to me seems like a tell that he was inwardly not sincere and was avoiding the "oath to God". He has also said in interviews that he is probably not going to Heaven. His actions and words appear to show him in conflict with righteousness.

Maybe Trump will bounce back (to reality). I believe he has fundamentally changed in this term. I personally believe he is being controlled.

I hate when Trump posts awful things like that. Its juvenile behavior, but that's what he does if you criticicze what he's doing. Its a terrible fault of his. They shouldn't take it personal because Trump does it to everybody. He's insulting.

After his two assassination attempts, Trump's focus broadened to include root causes of problems that prevent peace and prosperity in the world. He thinks he is destined to solve these problems. After Iran, there is freeing Cuba of their dictators, like he did in Venezuela. I think everything he's doing is long overdue. Yes, it helps the US bigly in the long run, but what about now?

We're taking an economic hit because of Iran and the strait of Hormuz. Trump knows that he has to fix the situation fast. He's taking a lot of heat for the strait of Hormuz mess. We'll see what happens, but I hope we can go back to America First soon.

1% Power Changes Via Election

I saw a good explanation. The President just doesn't have that much power. Most of the power goes to the "Deep State", the unelected bureaucrats, judges, activists, etc.

Example: Trump wanted to crack down on illegal immigrants. Rioters started obstructing ICE violently, well organized violence. Courts and Congress sided with the rioters over ICE. Thus, Trump was forced to scale back his illegal immigrant crackdown.

The President isn't an absolute ruler, like the CEO of a corporation. He has maybe 1% influence on the direction of the government. In one of Trump's businesses, if a subordinate didn't do what Trump wanted, he could just fire them. In government, the disobedient subordinates can just ignore Trump, and then sue and win if Trump tries to hold them accountable. There are more disobedient subordinates than Trump can personally fire.

The election doesn't give the President 100% control of government. It just gives him 1% control, maybe, on a good day.

^ I'd keep the forum if posts of this quality occurred more than once a blue moon.

Trump still has been able to wield tremendous change and influence.

I disagree mildly with the 1% statement. Mainly because I think it's more tremendously variable.

I think it's more like - a president has tremendous executive power (EG, decision makers comporting with what he wants) WHEN HE IS POPULAR.

When the president is not popular or is being actively sabotaged it's more like almost 0%.

Perhaps it averages out to 1%.
