Currently, the Iranian government is giving assurances of no mass executions and appears to be restoring order. And Trump has reciprocated the news by saying that we may not do anything.

I think we're going to give the Ayatollah ultimatums he can't ignore. Stop the killing, or else, and then leave. I read somewhere that Steve Witkoff has met with Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi. He could be an interim leader in Iran until the country is stable after the Ayatollah is gone. There are mixed opinions about him in Iran though.

I hope whatever we do militarily is limited.
